What to bring to your appointment
To assist with your consultation, please bring the following items where applicable:
- A current referral from your GP or specialist ( Medical consultations can be booked with or without a referral)
However, to claim a Medicare rebate for initial dermatology consultations, and subsequent reviews, a valid GP referral is needed - Your Medicare card
- A list of your current medications
- Any relevant test results, pathology reports, or previous treatment information related to your skin condition
Skin checks
If you are attending for a full skin examination, please be aware that we may ask you to remove make-up during the consultation. It is also preferable not to wear nail polish on the day of your appointment, as examination of the nails can sometimes form part of a complete skin examination
